EVP Pillars
EVP Video
Introduction
HM Land Registry (“HMLR”) is a UK Government Department created in 1862 to register the ownership of land and property in England and Wales.

• Raise awareness (internally and externally) about HMLR’s mission and vision, who HMLR are, what HMLR does and how HMLR adds value to the UK economy.
• Target specific profile of external candidates in difficult to fill roles, identified as follows: Quality & Test; Architecture; Data Scientists; Infrastructure / DevOps Engineers; and Service Design
• To increase the funnel for new Digital, Data and Technology (“DDaT”) candidates, increasing candidate attraction and capturing their attention, showing them the impact of the work HMLR’s DDaT team makes and why it is one of the best places to work within public sector / local economy in the South West.

Our goal was to create an EVP Video that authentically represents HMLR, focusing on the tech stack, learning and training opportunities, diversity, and positioning HMLR as a forward-thinking digital organisation. This video aims to attract talent, showcase our digital transformation, and highlight the exciting challenges we're tackling.
Working with their Recruitment and Comms Teams, we identified key EVP Pillars: Diversity; People; Collaboration; Technology; Mission/Values; and Career Development.
The pillars helped shape the themes, which were captured in a 180 sec main multi-person video and 4 x 15-30 sec single-person social snippet videos.

The EVP video has enabled HMLR to attract a whole new pool of diverse candidates that hadn’t previously considered HMLR a career option and funnel fresh new talent into hard-to-fill digital roles where the recruitment market is currently very fierce and competitive.
The success of this video was particularly evident through a recent Test Manager recruitment campaign, which has been a traditionally hard-to-fill role for HMLR, with an increased diversity of candidates and application numbers.
The success of the EVP Video was such that HMLR entered a Civil Service Commission Excellence Award in 2023 using the EVP video made by Inspired.
